I am not a racist but, like you, I'm sure many would think some of my viewpoints are on the edge if not over it. That is why I had to think about what I was going to write for a couple of days before I attempted it.

I agree with everything you wrote, ndefence. The only thing I have to add is that while there are those that are just as extreme in their thinking, there are those that take it to the next level and act violently upon it. That's what differentiates an extremist from a terrorist.

I have some extreme viewpoints, which I have refrained from making public here, but I choose to act this way. VOL was started mainly because I enjoy writing but also because I am tired of the things I see in today's society, some of which is a country that has become too P.C. and has allowed ridiculous changes. The article which I mentioned in the post was just a part of it. It says, "Let's pay someone who was unhappy because we are trying to maintain peace in our country and protect people."

I'm not a white American and after 9-11 I couldn't travel (fly) without getting "randomly" screened for several months. At times it was frustrating and sometimes pissed me off, but I always kept in mind the reasons for the search. I just wish the TSA screened their employees a bit more and set their standards a bit higher.

Thanks for the comments, ndefence! Keep 'em coming.

Wow, what a racist view point.. I am not sure you are a racist and I really don't think you are, but the article is a slippery slope of dangerous stereotyping that other people take and become extremists. Extremists come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. There are Americans who hate Arabs and they are just as extreme in their thinking as Arabs who hate America.
